Every Monday, We Get to Work
Monday is Hub Day at The Box Stops Here. While the rest of Anchorage is easing into the week, our team is at our central facility sorting, inspecting, and grading every box recovered from our local supplier partners.
The Grading System
Not every box makes the cut — and that's the point. We run all recovered cardboard through a strict two-tier grading process:
Grade A — Premium, uniform, minimally marked boxes. Reserved for local e-commerce businesses and Etsy sellers who need professional, consistent packaging their customers will notice.
Grade B — Structurally sound boxes with minor cosmetic wear. Perfect for residential movers who need reliable kits at a fraction of retail cost.
The Driver's Veto
Our final quality check is simple: if the driver wouldn't put it on the truck, it doesn't go out. Every order is reviewed before delivery. Boxes that don't meet our standard are pulled — no exceptions. This keeps our customers confident and our reputation intact.
Keeping Materials Out of Alaska Landfills
Alaska faces unique waste challenges. Cardboard that ends up in Anchorage landfills isn't just wasteful — it's a missed opportunity. By partnering with local businesses to recover their byproduct, The Box Stops Here closes the loop. Suppliers reduce their labor and disposal costs. Customers get affordable, high-quality boxes. And Alaska's landfills get a little more breathing room.
It's a circular economy built right here in Anchorage — one box at a time.
